Disney plans to mix ads, video games to target kids, teens

Disney's plan to target "tweens" with online gaming is just another example of why parents should be on the ball. I think this is harmless, but if you are really that worried, unplug the internet connection. Barring that, spend $30 on a router and block an IP from getting online (if you have more than one machine), or restrict net access by time. It is very easy to control what children do on the internet, and it does not take a lot of tech savvy.

Debbie Gibson with her trademark black hat and bouncy music raced up the charts in her teens in the '80s. Now 34, she is Deborah, no Debbie, and along with no hat, she is apparently posing with no clothes in playboy. So T-Swift, brace yourself for Ashlee's nudity fueled comeback. For most guys in the world, they would say "who cares if she can sing... she's naked". Ironically, Deborah's new single, to be launched with the playboy shots, is title "Naked". "isn't it ironic... Don't you think"... oh god, please don't let alanis pose, the naked suit at the Junos was bad enough...

As I sit here listening to the"The Wait" on CBC's Top 50 Canadian songs, I am reminded of The Last Waltz; a documentary ofThe Band's last concert. Excellent movie, and well worth checking out. The musicianship from all the performers will make you realise how bad the pop princes and princesses truly are.
