It's easy to forgot the "pure cheesiness" of the '80s but this video is sure to stir up some ghosts. Allegedly, this video was made for the Calgary Flames in 1987 and the David Fosteresque tune was called: "You can't stop a flame when it's red hot"
The song has a lyric that would have been a better title: "You can't touch a flame when it's red hot" but I guess the ad wizards that came up with this lip sync'in gem didn't take the time to figure that out.
Most remarkable about this video is that it took me a while to figure out that these were Flames players. I thought it was video footage from UWO, maybe even the Elbow Room, in the 1980s given the fashions that defined a younger JimDandy.
