I don't want any of you to come across as culturally unaware, so here is what is happening in the world of grappling.
WWE is effectively dead. They will make boatloads of money for years to come, but the product is finished and uncool. Hardcore fans have moved on (emotionally) and only mullet-headed marks think it is worth watching consistently. If you want to see the future of fighting (real or otherwise) in North America, check out the UFC. They have boxing on the run and have drawn more pay-per-view buys this year than the WWE. Good characters, goods fights, good entertainment.
Alternately, you might enjoy Lucha Libre~! This great and wacky Mexican style of wrestling is HUGE in Mexico. CMLL and their main competition AAA, are drawing 14-16k fans a week when the WWE is struggling to get 7-10k in their buildings. It is nutty, it is a different style, but it some fine fake grappling with a lot of high flyers. Plus, you can let the kids watch it.
If you are a true hardcore fan, then you are into NOAH and ROH already and don't agree with a word I have written.
