Curlers Weigh-in On Friedman
According to Adam Daifallah, the accumulation of wealth creates guilt. Which is the only reason for social programs and wealth redistribution. Not a desire to see all prosper, not a desire to see the least among us share in the same benefits and lifestyle that I do. Nope, just guilt. Well, that is a load of my mind. Now I can step over that homeless dude with a song in my heart and a conscience as clear as a mountain stream.

Yoda of the Economics World Passes Away
I just thought that the lefty closet keynesians of the JimDandy community would be interested to learn that until last night, Milton Friedman was still alive! Unlike John Maynard Keynes...
If you want to catch Friedman making some interesting statements about capitalism, rent the documentary "The Corporation". There are equally entertaining interviews with Michael Walker of the Fraser Institute as to why markets work. As far as I know, Adam Daifallah does not appear in the film.

Tied! For the #1 Band in the World...The Tubes! Part II
Why can't any of you let me know when there are elections that truly matter? It seems that there was a vote on the top political minds in Canada, and I missed it.
And for the new kids, part I is here. And yes, I am going to hammer this meme every chance I get.

Always Talk About Book Club
So, what are you reading these days? I have been stuck in some old French novels and am looking for something different. Any recommendations for my edification? My pick is the Aneid by Virgil. While short, it is a challenging and lyrical read. On a more topical note, you could could choose Adam Daifallah's erudite examination of the Conservative Party, "Rescuing Canada's Right".

Adam Daifallah - I Hate What I Didn't Experience
Was this fine young dandy even out of nappies by the time Trudeau retired? And the second line of the post is clearly an attempt at irony.
That being said, I am sick of Justin Trudeau.
Update:
I changed my adjective f0r Master Daifallah as he commented so politely and with such brevity. Such charms we should all learn from Peterborough's nattiest issue. And the value of a Queen's education can never be understated. Oil thigh na Banrighinn a'Banrighinn gu brath!
