About the big-ass music player staring you in the face...it is an experiment in musical blogging. The software is from projectplaylist.com, a reasonable free service. Anyway, I am going to create a new playlist every week or so from different points in my life. I invite you to do the same. Feel free to comment on the differing musical templates in your life too.
This first playlist is from that vague period from 3-6 years old. Now, very early on (about age 5) I began sleeping with a radio. I loved hiding under the covers, one earpiece in (no stereo, no FM, just glorious London AM radio). So much listening before being taken by sleep caused certain songs to stick in my head and others to be missed altogether. Hence the weird list. There is no Led Zepplin as I have no memory of them from that time period. "Clap for the Wolfman"? Oh yeah, good times. Some of the other songs come from too much tv at that age, or from cross-country trips with my family. The soundtrack was their varied collection of 8-tracks.
Enjoy.
Update:
KD and CL have started us down the road to a new topic - London radio in the 70s. If either of you want to weigh in your blogs, do so at your leisure. In the pre-cable era, radio was king for all of us.
And I am still waiting on honshui's point of view, vis a vis Joe Duschaine (sp?) and radio's impact on the kids in your neck of the woods.
Update
I have moved the player into this post. If you can't see it, click on the "Stand Alone Player" link to open a new window.
