Moving, Nothing But Moving
The big move is almost finished. Unlike the old days, when I would set up the tv and stereo first, now, it is the computer. I'm in a spare room, with cables running every which way, and I am so tired from moving boxes that I could sleep. But first I had to get online and read ...stuff. What a goof.

Where is the Post on Chris Benoit?
A pro-wrestler makes the front page for a tragedy that appears to be the product of "'roid rage" and the WWE releases a report that "Pro wrestler Benoit passed drug test in April". How could any pro-wrestler pass a serious drug test?
Where is the post on this tragedy? Steroids, pro-wrestling and mayhem? Isn't that a favorite topic?

Fighting Is Not As Boring As Baseball
The ratings are out for the finale of The Ultimate Fighter, which was shown on Spike TV last Saturday. According to www.f4wonline.com editor Bryan Alvarez, the Ultimate Fighter 5 finale reached 2.6 million people with a 3.0 rating in Men 18-34 (834,000), 2.6 rating in Men 18-49 (1.4 million), and a 2.00 HH rating. The telecast peaked with 3.4 million people at 11:30pm for the Penn-Pulver fight.
This rating is notable as it drew 300,000 more Men 18-49 and 261,000 more Men 18-34 on Saturday, June 23 than the coverage of the Yankees and Giants on Fox earlier that day. In fact, during primetime, the 3-hour Spike telecast (9:00pm-Midnight) outdrew anything else on television – cable or broadcast -- with Men 18-34 and 18-49.
Notably, the Ultimate Fighter finale even outdrew NASCAR on ESPN2.
The boxing promoters may call it a flash-in-the-pan, but for now, money, and ratings, are telling the tale of traditional sports being left in the dust by the UFC. Just ask the NHL.

The Championships
I know you are all huge tennis fans, so if you can't sit by your tele, like our lucky friend KD, then you can still follow the action on Wimbledon Radio. They cover the action from both Centre Court and Court 1. But, be warned, this is British commentary. Bluster is kept to a minimum, and understatement is the order of the day. A "really good shot" is code for an unbelievable effort.
