Bill O'Reilly Weighs in On Mountaineering

Following last year's tragic climbing accident on Mount Hood in Oregon, an article appeared in Outside magazine as to how the media failed in their coverage of the incident. Bill O'Reilly revealed that he is no Libertarian:

"Fox's Bill O'Reilly brought Outside executive editor Michael Roberts on his show, complained about how his tax dollars were being spent on "thrill seekers," and suggested that Oregon close down Mount Hood in winter."

Okay Bill, how much do you think that you personally paid toward that rescue?

Diplomacy!

U.S. Ambassador to Canada, David Wilkins, was on The Current and had these words of wisdom for Canada.

On what the U.S. can learn from Canada : how to dress for winter and play in the snow.

On what Canada can learn from the U.S. : ingenuity, kindness, hard work, charity, good global citizenship, industriousness. And to be more considerate and thankful for having the U.S. protect us against global terrorism. But he's not talking down to us.

On George Bush: greatest ever. History will prove him right.

On Step-hen Harper: greatest ever. We should be grateful for his leadership.

On Afghanistan and Iraq: Canadians are solidly behind the missions and behind Pres. Bush. Any negativity comes from the press. The media is to blame for hiding all the good news.

And he now knows where maple syrup comes from.

Back to flooring.
