Apparently Eddie Arnold is dead...

I read the other day that Eddie Arnold passed. I had two reactions: 1) "that's interesting, I thought he had been dead for a long time" and 2) "he had some cool tunes".

I Am Not Attentive

When I saw this cover for The Boys #17, all I thought was "Aw, love hurts and cuts deeply, and probably somebody will get punched and bleed in this story". Even after reading the book it wasn't until the third time looking at the cover that I "got it".

Boy, was my face red.

Shunpiker Mystery Tour

Update:

Here is the info on the 2009 Shunpiker Tour.

I am told that every Mother's Day, the London Free Press sponsors The London Free Press Shunpiker Mystery Tour. I am told that this is fun, and that I was forced to participate as a youth. So, what happens on this Mystery Tour? This London tradition of some 39 years?

No idea. It seems to be a mystery to even the London Free Press.

As Sonny would say, "Only in London".

And a tip of the hat to Wallaceburg and Wardsville for being on the ball.

The internet, it's not just for porn. Really.

Here are some links to live and recorded sounds from under the deep blue seas. Some of them are fascinating live streams that I play at night just for the weird ambiance.

If I Had a Billion Dollars

If I had a billion dollars, I would hire a film crew and a crane to follow me around for one hour a day, five days a week. That way, whenever something bothered me, I could get a crane shot of it. Tim Horton's cup at the side of the road? I fall to my knees, looks skyward, hold up my fists and scream "Noooooo!" while the crew films it from the crane. A red light when I am in a hurry? "Nooooo!" Crane shot. No more bread in the freezer? You guessed it, "Nooooo!". Then, every weekend, I would have it edited together and have a voice-over done by Don Lafontaine (and it would include the words "In a world..."). I would have a custom score done by Danny Elfman, and all videos would be posted online for free. And in hi-def.

The rich don't know how to spend their money.
