The Music of the Universe

Monday night's episode of Chuck was all about nerdy fan service. And it was glorious.

It starts with Missile Command-- still a fantastically challenging game, even on the 360.

Next up, a trip to Atari headquarters with Yvonne Strahovski all decked out in "Catholic school girl nerd gone wild" wear.

Sort of like this, just less Asian. Well, more Australian really.

After that you get the fictional head of Atari playing Missile Command to the music of Rush. Tom Sawyer specifically. Why? Because Rush is "the music of the universe". Awesome.

And lastly we get a Rocky-type entrance to one of the great montage songs of all time, from "Transformers, The Movie", The Touch.

And that is how "fan service" is done people.

Not So Sunny Days

As we are once again into typical London fall weather (rain, gray skies, cold), I thought it would be uplifting to see how things are looking out there where honshui lives. The weather report says clear and 16C. But how does it look?

Nice. What about Banff you say? Get ready to be more depressed.

And a final shot to the gut, Okanagan Lake. Not really his neck of the woods, but always a fun place to go.

Boy, I can't wait to get home and rake and bag wet leaves. How is that spare room coming along honshui?

I guess we had better have some music to go with the moaning and groaning.
