Fantastic news from the small screen, ageless soap star, and "The Most Powerful Man in Television", Eric Braeden, is leaving 'The Young and the Restless'.
While this may be sad for millions of emotionally delayed soap opera fans, it is fantastic news for fans of desert war drama. Yes, Eric is now free to pursue a renewal of the finest war drama ever filmed for television, Rat Patrol!

Finally we can see Braeden as fans want him; cool, calm, and clad in khaki. Our long nightmare is finally at an end.

They got Internet down there? I heard they just have a series of tubes.
I'm disconnecting my television on that dark day. Or I may find the strength to wait until Nikki's eleventh facelift. Because after eleven, I hear you can't pee.
Are you seriously hinting that Victor and Nikki are *still* doing the whole 'Virginia Woolfe' schtick? True story: my college roommate - a former biker wannabe - was absolutely nuts for Y&R. That was in, like, 1981-82 - and the only time I ever saw the show. The whole Victor/Nikki thing was tiring even then.
Yes, rural Tennessee has intertubes! At least where we are. I was shocked and pleased.
Some of my earliest TV memories are of watchng Rat Patrol reruns a wee lad, wondering where I could lay my hands on a couple of jeeps with mounted .50 caliber machine guns and a suitably multinational force to take on the local bad guys.
