So Wrong, So Often

During the All Your Basecast podcast #21, I boldly stated that Duke Nukem was never coming out and told Brian to not believe anything he heard to the contrary.

Hahahahahaha! I'm an idiot.

"After nearly 13 years of development time, Duke Nukem Forever is finally complete.

The game was on display at the Penny Arcade Expo this weekend in Seattle. Texas-based Gearbox Software confirmed they finished development of the title. Studio president Randy Pitchford said during a presentation the game is in the final polishing stages, and is coming in 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It will have a single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer.

"We couldn't let the Duke die," Pitchford told the crowd."

I'll let the now irrelevant Duke have the last word in my defence.

I Have Opened My Mouth and Removed All Doubt

Holy monkey, I was on a podcast. The gang at the All Your Basecast headquarters had me over to the studio on Monday for an hour's worth of comic talk, game reviews, and geeky reading material. I definitely have a voice for text. Yeesh, could I mumble more? Anyway, listen here, or check it out in Itunes and give them some review love. And don't blame them for me.

Thank to Sean and Brian and Vanessa for letting me into the podklatch--it was a honour and thrill. How big a thrill, well, kind of like the thrill that'll git ya, when you git your picture...

Funny, Upsetting, Worth Watching

Carts of Darkness:

"Murray Siple's feature-length documentary follows a group of homeless men who have combined bottle picking with the extreme sport of racing shopping carts down the steep hills of North Vancouver. This subculture depicts street life as much more than the stereotypes portrayed in mainstream media. The film takes a deep look into the lives of the men who race carts, the adversity they face and the appeal of cart racing despite the risk. Shot in high-definition and featuring tracks from Black Mountain, Ladyhawk, Vetiver, Bison, and Alan Boyd of Little Sparta."

Another hat tip to Herb for pointing out this great documentary.

Is It Getting Hot In Here?

Yup. And I blame it all on the funk. Get down with your funky selves already.
