Relief for Locals and Old Farts
I know; it's only been three years since I last referenced this video, but with our current condition (more fricking snow than we have seen since the early 70's), I thought you might cut me some slack.
This is the only song that makes me miss the 80s. And I hated it back in the day. I think it's the bathing suits, big hair, and lack of implants.

It's Like I Planned it This Way...I'm A Creator!
From the comments on this self-important blog:
"And on any creationist site you'll come across engineers knocking evolution and proclaiming ID/creationism. It looks complicated so it must be designed by someone I guess. Engineers like order so some make a leap when they come across order to suggest a builder."
I don't know much, but I know how to tie two pieces of thread together.
From the London Free Press (I know! How could this slip by the editors?).
Recently, I came across a simple example of this theory of chance. Suppose there are 10 identical discs in a box marked 1 to 10 and we are to take out one disc at a time, note the number, then replace the disc. What is the probability of selecting the discs in the correct order from 1 to 10? It may take 10 billion tries, more or less, to succeed just once.
To put it another way, if we take iron, rubber and other materials and throw them together in the same place, can we expect them to become a bicycle by chance? How long would it take without a creator? Or let's throw up a bucket of Lego blocks and see if they became a toy train when they fall to the ground.
Every day millions of children are born. They have exactly two eyes, not one or three. The eyes are in the proper location and not where their ears should be. Nor are the hands off the hip, but in the right place. Ditto for all other external and internal parts. Now, if there was no designer or creator who has implanted the blueprint for this orderly phenomenon, how would the eyes, hands, ears, etc. decide where they belong?
I have barely touched upon the real complexity of life forms. When we realize how complex even seemingly simple micro-organisms are, the chance of living things originating on their own becomes mind-boggling.
And what about the universe itself? If a Creator didn't make the universe, it must have made itself. Isn't that even more incredible?

This calls for a song. A song in praise of the smartest people on the planet.
