Blogger, bon vivant, and manic-twitterer Shoq once tweeted that this song from "The Princess Bride" was, bar none, the greatest love song ever written.
What can I say? When you're wrong Shoq, you're really, amazingly wrong. Gah, what a piece of shit. And that's as real as the feelings I feel. At least it wasn't done by Tom Waits. Plink Plunk Plink, "she was dressed in calico, and the colour of a dog", plink plink plunk.
What is the greatest love song from any movie? How about "Moving in Stereo" by The Cars.
Only that song truly captures the pain and shame of real love and the raw, unfulfilled masturbatory emotion that comes with it.
My true favourite is Romeo Void's "Never Say Never" from the 1984 movie, "Reckless".
Storybook story my ass.

Michael Coren: Let My Ratkos Go!

From Sun Media, via Buckdog:
"There is no more hateful, hurtful columnist published in Canada than Michael Coren.
-He openly advocated a nuclear attack on Iran in the pages of the Toronto Sun.
-He is now defending Ratko Mladics mass murder of civilian Bosnian teenage and adult male Muslims"
Shorter Michael Coren:
"Getting mad at Christians killing Muslims is totally not fair since Muslims kill Muslims too! It would be like the Catholic Church being forced to condemn pedophile Priests while the rest of the world lets man-boy butt sex have a free pass to chocolate town with no reach around. P.S. Muslims are bloodthirsty savages."
Michael Coren, he's the Rory Leishman of illogical, fearful, anti-intellectual Mulism-haters. Wait, that is Rory Leishman.
