Football is Easy

Football is easy. If you have only one offensive weapon, and you can't get it to fire, then you are in trouble. If your opponent also has only one weapon, but can fire it at will, you are fucked. Like 30 points of fucked.Choking repeatedly in the first quarter doesn't help either.

Out west, the Calgary Dinos showed what a shitty house league they play in by walking over UBC. Hopefully Laval will fall victim to the 'curse of the time zone' when they head west next week. Mac will probably walk all over Acadia in spite of the same curse, provided their passing game stays as crisp as it was today.

In the end, the Stangs were one game better than Queen's. And isn't that really the most important thing?

If sports aren't your thing, you can take in a play. Dust is playing at the Rotunda Theatre, 21 Brothers is showing at the Screening Room, and the Kingston Chamber Choir will warbling at St. George's on Sunday.

What you won't be doing is watching your glorious band of football all-stars play a single down. If you're looking for them, they'll be outside of Alfies, showing off their Q tattoos, and looking for someone, anyone, to tell them to buck up and wait for next year.

That's a point I hammered home and by gar, it's true. The offense can't score and the defensive secondary looks like a bunch of high school second-stringers. Simply terrible.

Let's recap, Western on to the Yates Cup for the fifth straight year, Queen's beaten like the eggs whites in a soufflé. Soufflés tend to collapse easily when startled by a loud noise or if poked lightly. Sort of like this:
