If Music Be The Food Of Love, Then I'm Full

Shakespeare wrote "If music be the food of love, play on." But what if that food is spoiled? Will the love be spoilt as well? And who decides if the meal will be distressful to not just the belly, but the soul? It has been said that music criticism should be based on solid facts, and not just opinion, but do you need facts when your tongue is telling you the meat is full of rot?

Taste this musical appetizer from Chasing Violets:

So, how did that taste? Shall I play on? Of course I shall.

We need a name for music that we can't differentiate from satire. On the other hand, this sound and style would work perfectly if they were Japanese, so chew on that.
